Control method for IC engine with lambda regulation e.g. automobile engine, using measured engine temperature for addressing characteristic providing value for engine fuel mixture

The control method has the presence of defined activation conditions after cold-starting of the engine checked for before measuring the temperature of the IC engine, used for addressing a characteristic which provides a value for the fuel mixture for the engine. During the lambda regulation the presence of adaption conditions is detected, with determination of an adaption value from the regulation parameters of the lambda regulator, used with the measured engine temperature for correction of the characteristic.
