The machine tool for machining bar stock profiles of plastic, wood or aluminium has counter-profiles with supports for stable holding of the work in a lateral position. The supports (9) are adjustable on the counter-profiles (4) for receiving workpieces of different cross section. The supports can be adjustable for horizontal and vertical position.
