<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of preventing transfer defects by surely bringing a transfer paper into contact with an image carrier and preventing the transfer paper from separating from the image carrier because of the weight of water that the transfer paper contains and the weight of the front and rear ends of the transfer paper. <P>SOLUTION: This image forming apparatus is provided with an air discharge duct 7 which blows an air current from below the transfer paper nearby a transfer paper guide member 5 provided at the upstream-side end of a transfer means 3 of transferring a toner image formed on the image carrier 1 to the transfer paper, and also provided outside with an air discharge fan 8 which communicates with the air discharge duct 7. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
