PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To select a SIP (session initiation protocol) server by using only a telephone set. SOLUTION: An IP telephone handling terminal 11 is connected between the Internet 13 and a normal telephone set 10 and connects a telephone set 11 to a registered SIP server (not shown) registered on the side of the Internet 13. In addition, the IP telephone handling terminal 11 is provided with a function for storing information about a plurality of SIP servers in advance, a function for inputting from the telephone set 10 a command for allowing a user to select one among the plurality of stored SIP servers, and a function for registering the SIP server selected by the user on the basis of the command.
