PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast receiving device which properly copes with change in a broadcasting state. SOLUTION: A CPU 13 acquires broadcasting state information consisting of information (the presence or the absence of a broadcast in each frequency and information related to a sound/video form of each broadcast) available for identification of broadcasts, for example, at the first channel search and holds the broadcasting state information in a non-volatile memory 16. In the case that the broadcasting state is changed due to house-moving or the like and information incongruent with the broadcasting state information is acquired when executing channel selection processing, the CPU 13 executes measuring processing consisting of one of message display, re-search processing for all receivable frequencies, and search processing for finding a broadcast to be received.
