PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcast receiving device which can receive broadcasts being on the outside of an area and can receive a desired broadcast without problems even in the case of duplicated use of a channel number for a plurality of broadcasts. SOLUTION: A CPU 13 causes a tuner 2 to execute scanning processing of terrestrial digital broadcasting and generates a table having broadcasts detected by this scanning and channel numbers made to correspond to each other, on the basis of broadcast information multiplexed in the broadcasts and stores this table in a memory 14. The CPU 13 performs processing of selecting a broadcast corresponding a channel number inputted by user's operation of a remote control transmitter 10. The CPU 13 adds mutually different branch numbers to the channel number to discriminate between broadcasts in the case of duplicated use of the channel number for a plurality of broadcasts and selects a broadcast by user's input of a branch number.
