METHOD FOR MONITORING NETWORK SYSTEM, MONITORING SYSTEM, REPEATER, AND MONITORING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network system monitoring method for easily recognizing to which repeater a slave connected to the downstream side of the repeaters belongs, in a network system including repeaters. SOLUTION: At least one repeater 30 is connected between a master unit 12 and a slave 20 to constitute the network system. The master unit 12 issues a status read command to the slave 20. The slave 20 receiving the status read command returns a response to the master unit 12. In repeating the response, the repeater adds specific information for specifying the repeater itself to the response. A device acquiring the response recognizes connection relation between the slave 20 and the repeater from the contents of the specific information stored in the response and monitors the constitutional information of the network.
