PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an original reader and facsimile equipment which are excellent in operability. SOLUTION: The original reader which reads an original image moving on a read line and outputs read image data is equipped with a plurality of automatic original feeders that separate mounted originals into sheets and move them toward the read line. Direct transmitting operation and reserved transmitting operation can be registered at the same time by using the plurality of automatic original feeders, so users' convenience is greatly improved.
