<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a frame relay exchange having a working-spare switching means in a frame relay protocol processor which switches over working and spare units for a short time, without losing data in either up- or down-link direction in the data transfer between a relay network and subscriber terminals. <P>SOLUTION: The frame relay exchange comprises: a logical-physical conversion table 10 for transmitting (from a subscriber terminal to a relay line) in which a logical number and a physical number are rewritten according to a switching instruction from a controller 7; an identifier provider 13 for giving an identifier to a frame data and transferring it to a working/spare frame relay protocol processors 2-1 to 2-n; the frame relay protocol processors 2-1 to 2-n for separating and transmitting frame data to a multiplexer 3; and the multiplexer 3 for fetching data from a working system and switching to data from a spare system. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
