MEASURING METHOD OF GEOMETRIC ERROR OF TURNING SHAFT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure a geometric error of a turning shaft accurately in a short time in a machine tool having the turning shaft and a linear motion shaft. SOLUTION: The geometric error of the pivot shaft is determined from the eccentricity quantity of measurement data measured in a condition wherein the sensitivity direction of a ballbar is kept in the axial direction relative to the turning shaft in a rotation motion of the ballbar around the center line of the turning shaft and in a condition wherein the sensitivity direction is kept in the radius direction, while keeping constant the distance between two balls of the ballbar.
