PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk brake for a rolling stock having a mechanism for preventing a brake caliper from dragging a pad. SOLUTION: The disk brake for a rolling stock is provided with a caliper 1 straddling over a disk D which rotates together with a wheel 2, and a brake block which is pressed against the disk D by a piston 7 arranged in a cylinder 5 provided in the caliper 1. The disk brake for a rolling stock includes a first cylindrical body 6 which is fitted between the piston 7 and the cylinder 5 via a seal member and which is slidable in the axial direction of the disk D, and a second cylindrical body 8 which extends from its attachment portion toward the disk D. The movement of the second cylindrical body 8 toward the disk D is restricted.
