PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a button fastener by which a stop button whose fastener portion is decorative is mounted onto the mouth of a paper bag and the mouth is closed. SOLUTION: The button fastener includes: one grip handle 400 which has a button sheet filling mechanism 3 having a locking claw, and the other grip handle 500 which has a button sheet filling mechanism 4 having a locking hole. The button fastener also includes one clamp 200 which has one push button mechanism J1 that cuts the joint 75 of a locking-claw-having button-sheet S1 by push of one push button 13 and then pushes an independent locking-claw-having button 71 against the mouth 101 of the paper bag 100. The button fastener further includes the other clamp 300 having the other push button mechanism J2 that cuts the joint 78 of a locking-hole-having button sheet S2 by push of the other push button 23 and then pushes an independent lock-hole-having button 72 against the mouth 101.
