摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique in an electric reciprocating tool, which technique is useful for the further rationalization of a power transmission mechanism for converting the output rotation of a drive motor into the longitudinal linear motion of a tool bit. SOLUTION: The electric reciprocating tool 101 comprises a tool bit for performing a machining operation for a workpiece by linearly reciprocating it, a drive motor 121 for driving the tool bit, and a power transmitting mechanism 131 for converting the output rotation of the drive motor 121 into the linear movement in the longitudinal axial direction of the tool bit. The power transmitting mechanism 131 is provided with an internal gear 153 which usually is not allowed to rotate, a planetary gear 151 which engages with the internal gear 153 meshing with each other, and a power transmitting pin 155 eccentrically arranged on the planetary gear 151. Required rotation of the internal gear 153 is allowed according to the load applied to the tool bit. Thus, because the position of the power transmitting pin 155 with respect to the meshing engagement position of the internal gear 153 and the planetary gear 151 is relatively changed, the linear movement of the power transmitting pin 155 in the longitudinal axial direction of the tool bit is changed.
