PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a spring to be recovered and recycled from a spring-inserted body in which the spring such as a pocket coil is inserted. SOLUTION: The method for recovering the spring comprises a spring cover material consisting of a sheet including a component of at least 20 wt.% soluble in water at a temperature of at least 40°C and the spring-inserted body in which the spring is inserted into the cover material and subjects the spring-inserted body to water or steam having a temperature of dissolution of the cover material in water or higher.
