<p>A hand tool for cutting the stems of plants, comprising cutting means which are secured to a handle (5) and comprising a concave, elliptical cutting part (1,3). According to the invention, the cutting part (1,3) is terminated by a rounded protection part (2,4) forming a hook the size of a finger in order to eliminate any risk of cutting said finger during the handling of said tool.
