<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-contact IC card reader/writer capable of preventing power shortage in a non-contact IC card at a communication state and preventing prolongation of time to completion of communication. <P>SOLUTION: In the non-contact IC card reader/writer which performs radio communication with the non-contact IC card incorporating no power source, an inquiry signal for detecting the IC card is transmitted by first transmission output P1 and a command signal different from the inquiry signal is transmitted by second transmission output P2 larger than the first transmission output. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
