<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase durability and reliability of a holder 1 for a roller bearing manufactured by making a beltlike metallic plate round into a cylindrical shape and welding both ends and having a pocket 3 passing through in the radial direction in several sections on the circumference. <P>SOLUTION: Metallographic structure of a surface of the holder 1 is formed into martensite, and hardness of the surface is set to be 400 or more and 700 or less in Vickers hardness (HV). Metallographic structure of the inside of the holder 1 is mainly formed into low carbon martensite, and hardness of the inside is set to be 250 or more in Vickers hardness (HV) to improve fatigue strength of the holder 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
