<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive substrate mounting fixture that prevents the crack of a solar cell element at the time of solder coating treatment and that can be repeatedly used. <P>SOLUTION: A substrate mounting fixture 2 has a plurality of metallic side plates 3 for mounting a plurality of substrates 1 roughly in parallel at intervals held at predetermined intervals. The metallic side plate 3 comprising stainless steel is covered with an engineering plastic with the ratio of the coefficients of linear expansion with the metal of the side plate 3 within the range of 1:3 to 3:1.
