PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid cartridge which can be filled with a small amount of liquid, and a liquid cartridge manufacturing method. SOLUTION: First, a liquid cartridge is prepared which is not filled with liquid (S100). In step 100, filling materials which do not absorb liquid are filled into the air side closure of the cartridge main unit. Next, a film is attached to the cartridge main unit filled with filling materials, and a lid is mounted. Then, the liquid storage chamber is decompressed (S102). Next, liquid is filled into the supply side storage chamber of the liquid storage chamber which is decompressed in step 102 (S104). Next, the liquid cartridge, filled with liquid in supply side storage chamber in step 104, is released in the atmosphere (S106).
