PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power switch for an internal combustion engine that is capable of preventing defective products from occurring by inhibiting reverse insertion of components in switch assembling. SOLUTION: There is provided a power transistor 11 for controlling a current flowing through a primary winding of an ignition coil in response to an ignition signal supplied to generate a high voltage in a secondary winding of the ignition coil.
