PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image quality compensation device allowing the coil length of a velocity modulation coil in the electron beam path direction to be freely set, and capable of improving an outline compensation characteristic. SOLUTION: Four winding parts 21 are formed on the lower surface of a cylindrical part 17, and four winding parts 22 are formed on the upper surface thereof. A copper wire 25 is wound around a metal terminal 19, and wound counterclockwise a plurality of times so as to sequentially pass the four winding parts 21 on the lower side of the cylindrical part 17 to form a lower coil 23. Next, the copper wire 25 extracted from the lower coil 23 is brought to the upper side while passing the side face of the cylindrical part 17, and wound a plurality of times so as to sequentially pass the four winding parts 22 to form an upper coil 24. Next, the copper wire 25 extracted from the upper coil 24 is wound around a metal terminal 20 on the positive side by passing the back side of a terminal mounting part 18.
