PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a degree of freedom of operation of a chuck device; to simplify a constitution; and to enhance adaptability to a high speed carry. SOLUTION: A chuck device is equipped with a pair of arms 15L and 15R rotatably supported by arm shafts 16L and 16R, and an operation member 23. The one arm 15L is provided with a roller shaft 17 integrally rotatable around the arm shaft 16L, and the other arm 15R is provided with an arm driving part 28 integrally rotatable with the arm 15R. The arm 15R is energized so that the arm driving part 28 is pressed to a second roller 31. A motion input mechanism is arranged between the operation member 23 and the roller shaft 17 for converting motion of the operation member 23 into rotary motion around the arm shaft 16L of the roller shaft 17, and an interlocking mechanism is arranged between the roller shaft 17 and the arm driving part 28 for rotating the arm driving part 28 around the arm shaft 16R by interlocking with the motion around the arm shaft 16L of the roller shaft 17.
