PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for assembling a cockpit module for facilitating the assembling work of a wire harness without causing a cost increase and a movable mechanism of the cockpit module for preventing the interference of a steering member with the wire harness mounted to an instrument panel so as to be suitable for an assembling method. SOLUTION: In integrally assembling an air conditioning unit 2 and the instrument panel 15 to constitute the cockpit module 1 before being mounted to a vehicle body, the instrument panel 15 is rotatably fitted to the air conditioning unit 2. The rotational center of the instrument panel is relatively displaced with respect to the air conditioning unit so as to form a rotational orbit of the instrument panel deviated from a circular orbit.
