PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet printhead having a long life and a high drive frequency. SOLUTION: The ink jet printhead has an ink chamber, a manifold for supplying ink to the ink chamber, an ink channel connecting the ink chamber with the manifold, a nozzle through which the ink is discharged from the ink chamber, first and second heaters which heat the ink in the ink chamber to generate a bubble and a conductor which impresses an electric current on the first and second heaters. The first and second heaters are disposed symmetrically to each other the nozzle as a center and either of the heaters is disposed on the side of the ink channel. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
