PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink-jet print head and an ink ejection method. SOLUTION: An ink-jet print head includes an ink chamber and ink channel formed in a passage plate, an ink ejection opening formed in a cover plate which is provided on the passage plate, a converging lens provided on the bottom surface of the passage plate at the position corresponding to the ink chamber, and a laser beam irradiation means for irradiating laser beam to the ink filled in the ink chamber through the converging lens. An ink ejection method includes steps of filling the ink chamber with ink, generating pressure waves in the ink by irradiating the ink in the ink chamber with laser beam so as to cause the ink surface to oscillate by the pressure waves, and ejecting ink droplets from the ink surface by the oscillation.
