PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a file for binding magazines and pamphlets which can be used without fear of an injury and without anxiety at the time of filing. SOLUTION: In the file F, it is constituted so that a holding member 3 is inserted between facing papers of a booklet M such as a journal and a pamphlet, and is independently movable between a mounting position (p) and a non-mounting position (q) to a back cover part 2 to the first fitting member 4 and the second fitting member 5 fixed on a back cover main body 21, and is fitted at the mounting position (p) under a condition where movement in the left and right direction of the back cover part 2 is restricted, the holding member is provided with a wire-like body 31 and an engaging member 32 provided with an engaging part 321 which is fitted on an end part of this wire-like body 31 so as to cover the end part and elastically deforms and engages with a part 51 to be engaged, and the engaging part 32 is moved in the direction intersecting approximately at right angles to the inner side face 21a of the back cover part 2 to be engaged and released with/from the part 51 to be engaged.
