PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a five-axis composite lathe to perform high power turning work. SOLUTION: According to the structure of the composite lathe, a tool post (22) is directly fitted to a turning spindle head (20) by a key, and the turning spindle head (20) is fixed to a column (23) by means of pins (10) of cylinders (25) attached to the column (23), to thereby enable the composite lathe to perform high power cutting work.
