PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To coat a wide area by replenishing coating material only once and to cope with various kinds of coating materials and coating surfaces, with superior workability. SOLUTION: This applicator is provided with a base body 2 having a coating face 4 composed of at least one plain formed at an outer periphery, of a triangular prism having a hollow part 21 therein openable at least at one part, and having a lot of perforations 41 formed communicating with the hollow part 21; a coating body 5 covering corner parts 24, 25, formed by at least the coating face 4 of the outer periphery of the base body 2 and outer peripheries 22, 23 adjacent to the coating face 4; a grip part 6 additionally provided to the the outer periphery 22 other than the coating face 4 of the base body 2; and a coating absorbing body 3 inserted into the hollow part 21 of the base body 2.
