PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooking apparatus capable of heating various foods of different shapes or unfixed shapes from the outside with small energy, and a cooking container used for the same. SOLUTION: The cooking apparatus 1 is provided with a plurality of bar-shaped heaters 2a-2f parallelly arranged in a horizontal direction and rotatably connected to a drive source on a base part 6. In the cooking apparatus 1, a cylindrical cooking container 3 mounted on both adjacent bar-shaped heaters 2a and 2b and rotated accompanying the rotation of the bar-shaped heaters 2a and 2b is provided. By using the cylindrical cooking container 3, the foods of the different shapes or the unfixed shape are heated from the outer peripheral part while being smoothly rotated.
