The shower cubicle or shower wall has a base rail fitted between vertical edge posts for supporting the lower horizontal side edge of a glass panel, the vertical sides of which are retained by the edge posts. The base rail is provided by a U-shaped rail (17) and a profile rail (16) with a U-shaped cross-section, which is inverted to fit over the U-shaped rail, the cooperating arms (19,20; 25,26) of both rails acting as vertical displacement guides allowing height adjustment of the profile rail relative to the U-shaped rail.
