<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact actuator for a valve with a manual operation mechanism mounted on a rotary valve such as a ball valve and a butterfly valve and capable of ensuring safety in operation and work when performing automatic operation, manual operation, and maintenance and improving operation property and workability with reduced cost. <P>SOLUTION: In this actuator 1 for the valve constituted in such a way that rotation force from a motor 3 is decelerated and transmitted to an output shaft 8 through a gear deceleration mechanism 7 arranged in an actuator cover 2 and a valve element is turned, opened, and closed by rotation of the output shaft 8, a manually operated basic shaft 14 provided in a gear part 13 meshing with one of gear groups of the gear deceleration mechanism 7 and a manual operation shaft 15 supported on the actuator cover 2 are provided so as to come into contact mutually and leave from each other, the valve element can be switched to automatic operation/manual operation conditions, and the actuator cover 2 can be attached and detached when performing manual operation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
