摘要	<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stop the operation of an apparatus without causing overcurrent in stopping the apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: This power converter includes a control circuit which decreases the input current of a converter circuit from its prescribed value when the apparatus is stopped or protected, outputs an operating signal when the current is below a predetermined level, turns off a gate signal of an inverter circuit, provided that the stopping or protection of the apparatus has been performed, and which turns off a gate signal of the converter circuit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
