PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid the lateral arrangement of two motor-generators in the axial direction for obviating the need for supporting either motor-generator by cantilever method.
SOLUTION: A first motor-generator MG1 is disposed coaxially with the principal axis O1 of a transmission and is drivingly connected to a corresponding rotational member (sun gear Sd) of a differential gear 2 through a hollow shaft 13. A second motor-generator MG2 is disposed with its axis O2 offset from the axis O1 of the motor-generator MG1 in parallel. Further, the second motor-generator MG2 is drivingly connected to a corresponding rotational member (sun gear Ss) of the differential gear 2 through a center shaft 14 which penetrates the hollow shaft 13 and the motor-generator MG1. Since the motor-generators MG1 and MG2 are not laterally arranged in the axial direction, the axial dimension of the hybrid transmission is not increased and thus vehicle mountability is prevented from being degraded. The need for supporting the motor-generator MG2 by cantilever method is obviated, and insufficiency in the rigidity of the hybrid transmission due to degradation in its mounting strength can be avoided.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
