PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new charge transport material having excellent charge transporting property, hard to crystallize and film-formable by coating. SOLUTION: The charge transport material is a compound containing at least one repeating unit of formula (1) (Ar is a 6-60C substituted or unsubstituted arylene or a 4-60C substituted or unsubstituted heterocyclic compound group; R groups are each independently H, a 1-20C alkyl, an alkoxy, an alkylthio, a 1-60C alkylsilyl, a 1-40C alkylamino, a 6-60C aryl, an aryloxy, a 7-60C arylalkyl, a 7-60C arylalkoxy, a 8-60C arylalkenyl, an arylamino, a 4-60C heterocyclic compound group, cyano, nitro or a halogen atom).
