ANTIMICROBIAL SOLUTION FOR AGRICULTURE AND HORTICULTURE, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare an antimicrobial solution for agriculture and horticulture, having disease-controlling activities, derived from a natural product and substituting a synthetic antimicrobial agrochemical; and to provide a method for producing the antimicrobial solution. SOLUTION: The antimicrobial solution for the agriculture and horticulture contains a pyroligneous acid and an extract of Japan cedar. The antimicrobial solution for the agriculture and horticulture is produced by preparing the extract of the Japanese cedar by extracting the Japanese cedar with an organic solvent, and mixing the extract with the pyroligneous acid. A Japanese cedar pyroligneous acid obtained by carbonizing the Japanese cedar can be used as the pyroligneous acid. The extract obtained from the wood of the Japanese cedar, or the extract of the heartwood part in the wood part of the Japanese cedar can be used as the extract of the Japanese cedar.
