FRICTION CONTROL SHEET AND MEDIUM CARRYING ROLLER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a friction control sheet usable as a covering sheet for applying prescribed frictional force to an outer peripheral surface of a medium carrying roller and having durability and abrasion resistance, and the medium carrying roller covered with this friction control sheet. SOLUTION: This friction control sheet 100 has a sheet-like support layer 1 for arranging a plurality of elastic projections 11 and 11' on the surface 10, and also has an elastic shock absorbing layer 2 for forming a space part on the reverse 12 side of the support layer 1. An elastic modulus of the projections 11 and 11' is set larger than an elastic modulus of the shock absorbing layer 2. The elastic modulus of the projections 11 and 11' is set to 2.5 to 20 MPa. The elastic modulus of the projections 11 and 11' is set larger by at least 1 MPa than the elastic modulus of the shock absorbing layer 2. This medium carrying roller is formed by covering the outer peripheral surface of a roller part with the prescribed friction control sheet 100. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
