PARAPET OF PASSENGER CONVEYOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parapet of a passenger conveyor capable of preventing intrusion of a foreign matter to a gap between a footstep and a skirt guard and clamping of an object positioned on the footstep. SOLUTION: The parapet of the passenger conveyor is provided with a beam body 9 fixed to the skirt guard 4, extending along a movement direction of the footstep 1 and having a lower side formed with an inclination surface 12; and a brush member 10 planted in the beam body 9 and downwardly inclinedly provided so as to cover the gap G. Thereby, when the passenger on the footstep 1 drops off the foreign matter, the foreign matter is guided onto a step surface 1a by the beam body 9 or the brush member 10 and the object on the footstep 1 is guided to a removal direction by sliding on the inclination surface 12 even if the object is abutted on the beam body 9.
