PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera capable of obtaining more preferable composited image data in response to a quality rank of an imaging element. SOLUTION: High sensitivity image data High is subjected to processing performed by an OB processing part 61a, an LMTX 62a, a WB processing part 63a and a gamma correcting part 64a, and then inputted to a multiplying part 66a. In addition, low sensitivity image data Low is similarly subjected to processing performed by an OB processing part 61b, an LMTX 62b, a WB processing part 63b and a gamma correcting part 64b, and then inputted to a multiplying part 66b. Then, the high sensitivity image data High and the low sensitivity image data Low are respectively multiplied by gain data from a composition gain LUT 65, and multiplication results are added by an adding part 67. A composition range calculating part 71 calculates a luminance range to be composited when images are composited on the basis of rank information showing a quality rank of the imaging element and photographic sensitivity information. The calculated luminance range information is sent to the composition gain LUT 65 and used to select respective gain data when the high sensitivity image data and the low sensitivity image data are added and composited.
