PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To compensate for variation in the signal converter of a laser system. SOLUTION: A laser system 100 comprising analog/digital converters (A/D converters) 38, 324 and 328, a memory 46 for storing a compensated AD converter output signal of a plurality of values related to a temperature signal of a plurality of values and an AD converter output signal of a plurality of values, and a controller 43 coupled to receive one value of the compensated AD converter output signal from that memory based at least on the temperature signal and the AD converter output signal is provided.
