PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treated titanium black which can provide a composition having a good flowability and dispersion stability and very high insulation properties even in the cases where titanium black has a high concentration and it has a fine particle size when utilized in the fields of ink and coatings, and to provide a dispersion thereof, and a compound for treating titanium black suitable for treating the same. SOLUTION: The treated titanium black is obtained by treating the surface of titanium black with a carbodiimide compound having at least one carbodiimide group in a molecule and a carbodiimide equivalent of 100 to 50,000.
