PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bonding method in which bond durability between a stainless steel material and an elastomer is strong in a seal member and the sealing member using the method. SOLUTION: In a seal member such as a seal for bearing or oil seal, the surface of a stainless steel material 1 is subjected to blast treatment or etching treatment to provide a rough surface 2 and the rough surface 2 is cured and bonded with an elastomer 4 to provide the seal member.
