HANDRAIL OF PASSENGER CONVEYOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handrail of a passenger conveyor for preventing intrusion of foreign matter into clearance between a footstep and a skirt guard and nipping of an object positioned on the footstep. SOLUTION: This handrail of the passenger conveyor has a beam body 9 fixed to the skirt guard 4 and extended in the moving direction of the footstep 1 and a brush member 10 projecting inside from this beam body 9, and respective parts of the beam body 9 are arranged in a prescribed height position. A dimension A1 between the lower edge and the footstep 1 of the beam body 9 in the vicinity of a boarding port is set equal to or smaller than a dimension B between the lower edge of the beam body 9 in an inclined part and a nose line for connecting a point for crossing a tread 1a of the footstep 1 and a riser surface 1b. The dimension B in the inclined part and a dimension C between the lower edge of the beam body 9 and a bottom line for connecting a point for crossing the riser surface 1b of the footstep 1 and the tread 1a of the other footstep 1 are set equal to or smaller than a dimension in the vicinity of an alighting port.
