PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize elimination of a switching space, simplification of reversal operation at switching and reduction of cost by easily carrying out switching between upper winding and lower winding by eliminating the requirement of reversal of 180°of a rolled web roll. SOLUTION: In the slitter, the web W with a wide width is cut to a plurality of webs with a narrow width in a longitudinal direction and the cut webs with the narrow width are separated at front/rear sides or upper/lower sides and are wound on each individual winding shaft arranged at the front/rear sides or the upper/lower sides. A switching roll 13 capable of switching upper surface upper winding to upper surface lower winding or in contrast thereto, upper surface lower winding to upper surface upper winding as a winding direction of the web is auxiliarily provided near guide rolls 8, 9 and 10, 11 to the respective individual winding shaft after separation.
