PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a space occupied by an elevator door device. SOLUTION: When a door motor 7 is driven, a roller 9 rolls along a door rail 2 and a left door 10 self-travels by the driving force of the door motor 7. Then, a belt 4 rotates through the left door 10 and a right door 16 moves to the opposite direction against the left door 10. In this configuration, the door motor 7 need not be placed on the upper surface of a hanger case 1.
