PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packing device preventing damage to the top plate of an outdoor unit, owing to the improvement of packing strength. SOLUTION: In the packing device in which box-like exterior bodies 5, 7 made of a corrugated cardboard are arranged on the bottom and the top of an object 3 to be packed, and each object to be packed is bundled with a plurality of bands 8 between the box-like exterior bodies, the top of the box-like exterior body 5 is provided with a box-like exterior member 13 made of a corrugated cardboard and a pair of shock absorbing members 15 arranged inside the box-like exterior member 13. The shock absorbing member 15 has lower parts 15D lower than its outside near the center of the top surface of the object to be packed 3, and a substantially U-shaped corrugated cardboard member 17 astride the lower parts is arranged.
