PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal strip collector by which a metal strip is recovered/cleaned without causing noise and with a simple method. SOLUTION: In the metal strip collector, a cylindrical body 20 including a magnet 10 consisting of a hard magnetic substance is rotatably and movably attached to a cavity 41 of a casing 40. A soft magnetic substance 30 is attached to a cavity 42. The casing 20 is provided with a knob 22. Like (A), when the magnetic pole (for example, an S pole) of the magnet 10 is located at a place facing the soft magnetic substance 30, the soft magnetic substance 30 is magnetized and magnetic force appears on a metal strip adsorption section 31, and the metal strip 200 is adsorbed. Next, like (B), turning the knob 22 to rotate the magnetic pole of the magnet 10 and locating the metal strip at a position not opposing to the soft magnetic substance 30 weaken the magnetic force of the soft magnetic substance 30, and the metal strip 200 drops.
