PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a speed reducing mechanism in a driving section when a lifting rack is lifted and lowered by means of a lifting rope. SOLUTION: In the lifting dryer, a lifting rack 2 storing goods in an external case 1 opened in the bottom side is liftably provided, a take-up drum 11 capable of being driven forwardly and backwardly with a driving section 12 having a speed reducing mechanism is provided on the external case 1 side and the lifting rack 2 is lifted and lowered by "taking up and paying out the lifting rope 27 by connecting the lifting rope 27 fastened to the drum 11 to the lifting rack2.
