MANUFACTURING METHOD OF HIGH-PRESSURE DISCHARGE LAMP, HIGH-PRESSURE DISCHARGE LAMP AND LAMP UNIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of surely manufacturing a high pressure discharge lamp having high pressure-resistant strength.

SOLUTION: The high pressure discharge lamp 100 comprises an arc tube 1 in which a luminescent material is filled and a sealing part 2 for holding airtightness of the arc tube 1, and the sealing part 2 has a first glass section 8 extending from the arc tube 1 and a second glass section 7 provided at least at a part inside the first glass section 8, and the sealing part 2 has a portion (20) on which compressive stress is impressed, and mercury bromide (HgBr2) is filled in the arc tube 1.
