<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an original for a planograhic printing forme for direct platemaking, which enjoys high sensitivity during image formation, ensures a high tolerance for alkali development liquid density variations, and has superior temporal stability (preservation stability). <P>SOLUTION: The original for the planographic printing forme has a first layer containing an alkali soluble resin as a main component, and a second layer containing the other alkali soluble resin which is different from the alkali-soluble resin contained as the main component in the first layer on a supporter in this order, and contains a mixture consisting of at least two or more kinds of infrared absorbents in each layer of the first layer and/or the second layer. The original for the planographic printing forme enables image formation, by the irradiation of an infrared laser, preferably contains a mixture, consisting of at least one kind of an infrared absorbent having absorption maximum wavelength, in which the second layer is 825 nm or longer and at least one kind of an infrared absorbent having the absorbent maximum wavelength, in which the second layer does not exceed 825 nm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
