<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cuff for a hemadynamometer capable of precisely measuring the blood pressure avoiding the end effect by pressing only the superficial part of a blood vessel. <P>SOLUTION: The cuff 1 for the hemadynamometer comprises a fluid bag 11 into which a fluid is injected and a fixture 12 for fixing the fluid bag 11 to a limb etc. of a living body. The width of the fluid bag 11 in the axial direction of the limb is made into a size to be suitable for selectively pressing only the superficial part of the blood vessel 31 to be pressed near the dermis. In pressing only the radial artery 31 superficial and adjacent to the styloid process 32 of radius of the wrist, the width of the fluid bag in the axial direction of the limb is set from 15 mm to 25 mm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
